HOM: Change

Grandma Streit died that spring while I was in school. Mom told me not to come home, but to remember Grandma as she had been. Donal & Edith sold their place on Demersville Road and moved back to Hot Springs to be near their daughters and their families. They bought a little house on the west edge of town looking up the hill at his old ranch. A little later on, Uncle Paul moved out to a V.A. facility out in Eugene, Oregon. Vic tore down the old homestead buildings back on the creek. With Gladys gone, he was rarely home. Home really wasn't quite home anymore. TBC (Me) (Blacktail Books)
