JJ: FYI: Nomenclature (I.E. Whassat?)

The Horse
The Saddle
The Crupper, to keep the saddle from sliding forward.
The Breast strap, to keep the saddle from sliding backward.
Vocabulary
A hand (or handbreadth) is a unit of measurement of length equal to 4 inches. When a horse is referred to as being X number of hands high, multiply X by four and this gives you the height to the top of the withers in inches. TBC (Me)
